I started Chilled Out AC Cleaning in 2019 from my home in Dakabin, just north of Brisbane. The plan was simple. Most AC cleaning businesses don't actually clean the units properly — they wipe the filter and call it done. I wanted to build something that does the full job, every time, and tells you the truth about what your unit actually needs.

Since opening the doors, I've personally cleaned more than 1,500 AC units across North Brisbane — split systems, ducted whole-house setups, and boxed units in older homes. Seven years of hands-on work in Queensland's subtropical climate teaches you things you don't pick up from a manual. Things like why a unit in Sandgate corrodes twice as fast as the same unit in Albany Creek. Why mould keeps coming back in a house with poor ventilation no matter how hard you scrub. Which brands hold up and which ones eat their own fan motors after five years.

I'm a trained AC technician and I trained every tech who works on our team. I still go out on jobs — most weeks — because the only way to keep the standard high is to keep my hands on the work. If you book us and Jack himself doesn't show up, the tech who does was trained by me, on real jobs, in real Brisbane homes.

The articles on this site are written from that experience. When I say "in our experience, dirty coils reduce cooling by X percent," I'm talking about units I've personally pulled apart and put back together. When I write about North Brisbane's climate, I'm writing about the houses I drive past on the way to jobs in Chermside, Aspley, Caboolture, Redcliffe, and everywhere in between.
